My name is Sylvie Duchateau. I have been working in the field of Web Accessibility since 15 years at Association BrailleNet in Paris, France. During this period, I have also been an active member of the Education and Outreach Working Group from W3C/WAI. I coordinated the french speaking translation of WCAG 2.0 and Understanding WCAG 2.0. I regularly conduct trainings of webmasters, human factors, project managers and other people interested in web accessibility, showing them what are the barriers to accessibility for people with disabilities. I made several presentations on that topic and several translations of EOWG's Outreach documents. I take part in evaluation of the accessibility of web sites and applications and contribute in France on developing training materials on evaluation. I am also interested in mobile devices and as blind user myself, I train visually impaired people on the use of tactile devices and on screen readers in general.
